This squad originally started out as a Black Dragons Squad but quickly turned into a Blood Angels squad as I’m apt to changing my mind every 5 minutes. After making this squad I coined the term Artscale to better describe the types of conversions I wanted to do. Check the link at the bottom to see the WIP of this squad on the Warseer Forums.

For those interested the red was painted over a black under coat, building up layer upon layer, starting with Red Gore and working up to Blood Red. The really deep finish was achieved with multiple coats of the old GW Red Ink. Although Red Ink has a shiny finish these models were also given a coat of matt varnish (Testor’s Dull Cote) to finish them.
