Blood Angels Commander

This particular commission was requesting a Commander for a Blood Angel army. A lot of this model was just about choosing the right parts. The sword is from a Dark Angels kit with alterations to make it fit the Blood Angels style, but the text on the blade is appropriate.

I choose a jump pack from a Forgeworld model just because of the extra detail it has over the normal plastic ones. My favourite thing about this model is the head and wild hair. It took me a few attempts to get the hair just how I wanted it and make the ear look natural. The legs are fully sculpted over wire. This is another model where I used spring steel to pin it to the base. If spring steel is accidentally put under any force it won’t weaken it and risk breaking after a few knocks.
